QA Engineer (Web Applications)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in testing web applications, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Experience in test automation and writing automation scripts will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing for web applications.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Execute manual test cases and ensure timely delivery of quality releases.
  • Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before production deployments.
  • Maintain clear documentation of test plans, test results, and defect reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts (preferred).

Required Skills

  • 3–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Strong experience in testing web applications.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Experience with manual testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git is an advantage.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
